Adventures with the Pups - all 4 of them!

Yes, you read correctly.
I have 4 dogs.
I know - what was I thinking?
No, I'm not THAT crazy dog lady, it just kind of happened, having 4 dogs.
I get asked if having that many dogs is a lot of work and some days it is and most days,  its such a joy.

Let me introduce you to the gang :)
First there is Duffy.  He is my old boy and also my best boy.  He is a 12 year old German Sheppard-Terrier Mix.  He is a sweetheart and is the probably the smartest (read best behaved) dog in the house.  He is just now getting to the point where I can tell he is winding down.  It makes me really sad and I try not to think about it, but I know that he's starting to move slower,  eating less and sleeping more.  But as a friend just said about her aging Boston - my dog will be very loved and I will do my best to keep him happy and comfortable.

Then there's Sammy.  She is a sweet 10 year old White Boxer Mix with beautiful blue eyes.  She is the Diva of the house and is a delicate and very loving girl.  She's getting up there in age too but still got a spring in her step and loves to play.  Even as an old girl she gave birth to7 puppies, one of which was a stillborn and the rest have grown up to be absolutely gorgeous dogs.  I should know, one of her pups is the last of the gang!  More on motherhood later.

Next is Max.  Max..... he is my funny boy.   He is the most loving, funniest, spunkiest dog ever!  He is the smallest of the bunch but regardless of size is fearless and definitely has a Napoleon complex. He turns 4 this coming November.  He is very popular with my friends and has many alias - as do all of my dogs.  He is also know as Lulo, Leelo, Gaynine and Bongo.

And last but certainly not least there is Tigger.   Tigger is a gorgeous fawn Boxer (he is 3/4 Boxer as his father is a full bred Boxer and Sam is his mum) with the prettiest blue eyes.  He was the 3rd puppy from Sammy and Pecos's (the father) litter.  He is my goofy, sweet boy.  Tigger is a year and a half old and full of life and actually bounces just like the Tigger from Winnie the Pooh!  He is a very special pup and is best buds with Maxie.

Because they are such a huge part my life, they will have regularly featured here.  And you can rest assured that I will post the good, the bad and the ugly about life with my gang.  This should be interesting and the blogging will help save my mind :) so stay tuned!
